Reporting a problem with a question

How to report a wrong answer key, a typo, confusing wording, or broken media, and how to follow its status on the Reported questions page.

Where to report from

You can report from three places:

  • While practising: click the flag icon Report a problem in the top right of the player.
  • While reading your report: open a question with the eye icon in the Detailed Questions Review table, then click Report at the top.
  • While reading a lesson: click the flag icon Report a problem in the lesson's top bar.

Reporting does not end the session you are in. Once the report is sent, you can carry straight on practising.

Filling in the form

The Report a problem form has three parts:

  1. What's the issue? Pick one category: Wrong answer key, Typo, Unclear wording, Broken image / audio, or Other. In lessons the choices differ slightly: Unclear explanation, Typo, Wrong check answer, Broken image / audio, and Other.
  2. Which question? (optional) Shown when you report from a practice. Leave it on Whole set if the problem affects the whole package, or pick the numbered question that has the problem.
  3. Details. Describe the problem. This field is required, so Send report only becomes available once it has some text.

Your report automatically carries the practice or lesson page you reported from, so there is no need to copy its title. Once it is sent you will see Thanks - we'll look into it.

Explain the reasoning, not just the complaint

"Paragraph 3 says 'rarely', not 'never', so B should be accepted" gets acted on far faster than "the key is wrong".

Following your reports

Everything you have sent is listed on the Reported questions page. Open Profile, then choose Reported questions near the bottom of the page. The newest reports come first, each with its category, your message, the practice title, the question number (if you picked one), and the date you sent it.

Every report has one of three statuses:

  • Open: your report has arrived and is waiting for review.
  • Resolved: your report has been acted on. If the team wrote a resolution note, it appears under your report.
  • Dismissed: your report was reviewed and closed without changes.

Reporting a question does not affect your score or mastery. If you are not sure an answer is really wrong, try asking Dio on the review screen first, then report it if the key still looks wrong.
