Google sign-in only
Xplodia has no email and password registration. On the login page, click Sign in with Google and pick your Google account. There is no new password to remember and no separate sign-up screen.
One button for both
If your Google account has never been used on Xplodia, the same button creates your account for you. Want to look around first without an account? Choose Continue as guest and read Trying Xplodia without an account.
The onboarding questionnaire
Once, before you reach the app, you see a Welcome to Xplodia! screen. Press Get Started, then answer up to 11 questions grouped into four parts:
- About you: your life stage and why you are taking IELTS. If you are heading abroad to study or work, there is a question about target regions, and for studying abroad, the scholarships you have in mind.
- Where you are now: how familiar you are with the test format, your current IELTS score (or "Not yet") together with your target score, and the skill you want to tackle first.
- Your goals & plan: when you plan to sit the test, which days and times you can usually study, and whether you prefer studying alone or with others.
- One last thing: how you first heard about Xplodia.
Move between questions with Next and Back, then press Finish on the last one. A Your plan is ready! summary follows with your target score, study schedule, and focus skill, and a Start Learning button.
There are no wrong answers here and nothing is being graded. The skill you chose to tackle first decides which subcourse opens first on the Study page, and your target score appears on the Progress page.
Changing your answers later
The questionnaire cannot be retaken, but some of its answers are editable any time on the Profile page, through the Edit button on the IELTS goals card: target band, current band, test timeline, focus skill, and your reason for taking IELTS. Your display name can be changed on the same page under Edit name. The details are in Updating your name and goals.
